New York Athletic Club, featuring four-time Olympian Jesse Smith, held off Olympic Club, 6-5, to win the Spin Lob Classic in Austin on Sunday. The North Texas women defeated Olympic Club. 10-7, in their title match keeping the trophy in their home state.
The popular annual tournament began attracting teams to Austin from throughout the US in 2010. Winners in 2018 were the Olympic Club men, who defeated NYAC in a dramatic shootout, and the NYAC women.
