Touted as the biggest water polo tournament in the world, USA Water Polo’s National Junior Olympics is celebrating a milestone this summer. The 50th version of the annual tournament takes place in Orange County over two sessions beginning on July 20. Club teams from throughout Texas have arrived in Pearland to earn a spot on the prestigious competition at the Southwest Zone Championships.

Growth has compelled USA Water Polo’s Southwest Zone to, for the first time, hold two competitions separated by a week to accommodate the increasing number of teams that enter. This weekend features the 12u and 14u age groups; next weekend, 16u and 18u. Champions will be crowned and JOs allocations made for all 14u and 12u teams on Sunday.

Texas is poised to send the greatest ever number of club teams to Junior Olympics. For the complete live schedule and results from Pearland click here.
